FAQs

How long does it take to plan and do an intervention?2022-02-12T12:50:28-06:00

It takes 4-7 days to plan and complete an intervention. Of course, we can work around schedules and events and plan accordingly. To gather the team, answer all questions, and prepare everything usually takes a week from first phone call to the intervention.

What if they don’t go?2022-02-12T12:50:44-06:00

I have strategies for different possible outcomes. Remember, an intervention is a very strategic process and I will be strategizing every minute we are in the intervention. If they say no, that doesn’t mean we are finished. It just means we switch strategies and I continue working with you every step of the way.

How much does an intervention cost?2022-02-12T12:50:02-06:00

An intervention is definitely an investment and, unfortunately, there is no insurance coverage for this type of service.

There are several factors that play a role in the cost of an intervention and the investment is worth it. To have step-by-step guidance from an experienced professional, support in each step of the process, and Coaching to set healthy boundaries and begin to heal is invaluable.

Cost ranges from $4000 to $6000.

Who should be in the intervention?2022-02-12T12:50:58-06:00

There is no right or wrong answer for this, but there are several things to consider. I think the most important people in that person’s life should be there. For children, older parents or grandparents, and out-of-state friends and family members we can discuss parameters and solutions as we get closer.

Is it like the Intervention TV show?2022-02-12T12:51:09-06:00

I get this question a lot, and the answer is yes… and no.

The process of getting friends and family together, the meeting, and the letters is pretty accurate. However, I think there is more drama in the television show because, well, it’s television. Also, there are a couple of different approaches to intervention so every situation is not the style you see in the show.
